Red Elm spanking spatula – tapered handle. Elm is reasonably light in weight. It is a particularly beautiful species. A pale honey colour with beautiful swirling brown grain. It is very strong and durable, and will provide a stingy sensation which is amplified by the focused point of impact. This ensures that your Red Elm spanking spatula will provide quite a punishing effect when applied vigorously. This is my standard shaped spatula, with an elegant twist. The handle is gently tapered, for several reasons. Not only does it look pretty, it also suits smaller hands and allows a variety of grip positions. Closer to the head, for OTK situations and further from the head when I big swing is required!
Currently this is a one-off item, as I don’t regularly stock Red Elm. The Red Elm spanking spatula in the pictures is the one you will receive.
The length, including handle, is approximately 43cm, the width approximately 6cm and the thickness around 2cm. All sizes are approximate as they are hand cut and hand finished. To care for your implement, just wipe down with an antiseptic wipe and allow to air dry. An occasional application of food safe oil, wiped on with a cloth or paper towel, will ensure the finish is maintained.
